How scores work

# How we score mobile games.

Every reviewed game gets a score out of 10. We use it to answer one simple question: is this game worth downloading on Android or iOS?

What the score covers

## We evaluate the mobile experience.

A score can use Games Ranker’s own mobile play or attributed first-hand testing from named, reputable reviewers. Each game page labels the review basis so readers can distinguish our direct experience from evidence reported by another tester.

We evaluate the game itself as well as touch controls, price, extra purchases, performance, storage, and device support. The final score is not a simple average, because one serious problem can matter more than several small strengths. The written assessment explains the evidence and limitations behind the result.

Five checks

## What we look at.

 01

### Fun

Is the game enjoyable, responsive, easy to understand, and worth playing again?

 02

### Phone experience

Are the touch controls, text, menus, and play sessions comfortable on a smaller screen?

 03

### Value

Do the quality and amount of play feel fair for the full price?

 04

### Ads & purchases

Do ads, passes, currencies, timers, or paid items interrupt or pressure the player?

 05

### Performance

Does the game run well, fit the device, respect battery life, and work offline when promised?

Step by step

## How we review a game.

1. 01

    **Find the right mobile version**

We confirm whether the game is on Android, iOS, or both, and identify its price and developer.

2. 02

    **Collect mobile play evidence**

We use our own play when available. Otherwise, we require attributed first-hand testing from named reviewers and record the devices, scope, observations, and missing details.

3. 03

    **Check the facts and costs**

We verify storage, requirements, offline play, controller support, price, ads, and extra purchases.

4. 04

    **Give it a score**

We apply the same five criteria, choose a score out of 10, and explain the evidence, strengths, problems, and review basis.

5. 05

    **Keep the page updated**

We show when store details were last checked and update the page when important facts change.

Reading the score

## What the numbers mean.

The number gives you a quick answer. The written review tells you who will enjoy the game and what problems to expect.

One of the easiest mobile games for us to recommend.

**8.0–8.9** Very good

Worth playing, with a few drawbacks you should know about.

**7.0–7.9** Good

A solid choice for the right player or play style.

**6.0–6.9** Mixed

Some good ideas, but important problems hold it back.

**Below 6** Not recommended

The problems make this mobile version difficult to recommend.
