How our publication works

# Games Ranker editorial policy

Our goal is simple: help people understand whether a mobile game is worth their time, storage, and money. This policy explains who creates that work and how we keep it useful, independent, and accountable.

## Who creates our content

[Games Ranker Editorial](/authors/gamesranker-editorial/) is our collective team byline, not the name of one person. We use it when a review, ranking, guide, or news article is researched and edited under the shared Games Ranker process. Games Ranker is published and operated by Brivonexa LLC in the United States for readers worldwide.

If named writers or reviewers join the publication, their work should use an individual byline linked to a page that accurately describes their background and areas of coverage.

## How we research

We prefer primary sources for product facts: official Google Play and App Store listings, developer or publisher pages, press releases, media kits, update notes, and official trailers. Independent reporting may be used for context or evaluation. Article pages list their sources, and game reviews keep a source disclosure beside the changing store and technical details.

We distinguish three kinds of information:

* **Verified facts** are checked against the cited source available at the time of review.
* **Publisher claims** are attributed when they cannot be independently confirmed.
* **Editorial judgments** include scores, rankings, verdicts, recommendations, pros, and cons.

## How we support reviews and scores

Games Ranker may score a game from our own mobile play or from a source-reviewed assessment. A source-reviewed assessment uses clearly attributed first-hand testing from named, reputable reviewers alongside verified official product facts. The game page identifies which basis was used and lists the relevant devices, platforms, test scope, and limitations that the sources actually disclosed.

Both approaches follow the criteria described in [How we rank mobile games](/how-we-rank/). Popularity, store stars, publisher access, affiliate availability, and advertising do not determine the score. We never present another reviewer’s experience as our own, infer an unstated OS or test duration, or claim laboratory measurements, full completion, or broad device coverage that the evidence does not support.

## Dates, regions, and updates

Each article shows when it was published and, after a meaningful review, when it was updated. Each game page shows when changing store details were last checked. We use a consistent United States store baseline for comparisons while linking readers to local storefronts, because availability, prices, ratings, requirements, and download sizes can vary by region and device.

We do not change a date merely to make old content look new. A modified date should reflect a material factual or editorial update.

## Corrections

If a material fact is wrong or outdated, [send us a correction](/contact/). Include the Games Ranker URL, the detail in question, your store region when relevant, and an official supporting source when possible. We review the evidence and update the page when a correction is warranted.

## Independence, affiliate links, and access

Payment cannot buy coverage, a higher score, or a ranking position. Free access, review codes, advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships must not change an editorial conclusion. Commercial links, if used, are labeled and handled under our [affiliate disclosure](/affiliate-disclosure/).

## Automation and editorial responsibility

Software and AI-assisted tools may help organize research, support drafting, format content, or run consistency checks. Games Ranker Editorial remains responsible for the published page and for checking material factual claims against the cited sources. We add a page-specific disclosure when automation has a material role that a reader would reasonably need to understand.

## Images, quotations, and ownership

We use official promotional media, appropriately licensed images, or other media with a documented editorial-use basis, and we provide a visible credit and source. Game names, trademarks, screenshots, art, and trailers remain the property of their respective owners. We avoid unnecessary copying and use quotations only when they add clear context.
