The device matters more than the logo

Modern iPhones offer a relatively narrow set of performance targets. Android covers a much wider range of chips, screens, and cooling designs. That variety creates more choice, but it also means optimization can differ dramatically between devices.

Check a game’s minimum operating-system version, free storage requirement, and recent user reports for your specific device before buying.

Controllers and accessories

A controller clip is often more comfortable for longer sessions, while touch-first games such as card games and puzzlers rarely benefit from extra hardware.

Choose the ecosystem you already use

Cloud saves, family sharing, subscriptions, and past purchases are usually more important than small performance differences. If you switch platforms, assume purchases and progress will not transfer unless the publisher explicitly supports a shared account.
